Larry joined His Father’s Heart Ministry board of director’s in 2017, bringing a background of enterprise architect and business solutions experience to the ministry.
Larry is highly skilled at understanding business goals, business problems, and appropriate technical solutions, which he readily taps into to serve the ministry.
More importantly is Larry’s genuine servant heart that His Father’s Heart Ministry benefits from greatly. He has served as both Deacon and an Elder for St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, as well as chair for the Youth and Missions Committees over the years. Larry also served on the board of Director’s for St. Andrew’s School of Fine Arts.
More recently he played an integral role as one of 10 members of the development team for what would become CrossWalk Center, Joey’s vision that has been realized, which was to establish a centralized re-entry hub that ministers to and serves a portion of the nearly 15,000 ex-offenders returning to Harris County.

She holds a Director’s Certificate in early childhood education and has more than 20 years’ experience working with young children. Walt came to His Father’s Heart Ministries in 2014, based on a deep-seeded call to Worship. With his love for music and guitars, Walt has been leading worship for the HFHM’s Sunday morning church services and Monday evening bible studies ever since.
After one year of serving through worship and ministry, Joey asked Walt to serve on the HFHM Board of Directors. Walt is a man of wisdom and understanding, bringing singular clarity to the issues and needs of the organization, and is a balancing blessing for the board.
Walt professes that he has been learning to hear the voice of God and sense His touch upon his life better since becoming a part of the body at HFHM. Walt will share that Joey’s preaching and teaching is very scriptural, filled with the Holy Spirit and comes straight from the heart of God. Through HFHM’s Journey into His Father's Heart ministry, he has also begun to understand brokenness more deeply - how, if allowed, Jesus will heal a fragmented, broken heart caused by trauma and woundedness, and bring wholeheartedness to anyone who will journey to receive it.
His heart is to help further the HFHM vision that Joey has for the ministry and to help raise awareness about the rich blessing that is HFHM.
Prior to HFHM, Walt was an ordained elder with St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, spent 11 years in Bible Study Fellowship. In addition, Walt participated in Cursillo and subsequently served on the council, staffed numerous weekends and worshipped as part of the music team. He is also living ‘on mission’ in his home, neighborhood, workplace and ‘third place’ as an alum of Mission Houston: FaithWalking.
When Walt isn’t leading worship or serving directly at His Father’s Heart Ministries, his tent making is as a control systems engineer. And you’ll find Walt always looking for new and vintage guitars to try out and add to his collection.
Walt and his wife Rhonda remain as members of St. Andrew’s Presbyterian church through Bible study and Oikos, but are also an integral part of the small and very diverse church family at HFHM on Sunday mornings.
Walt and Rhonda have two children, Walt and Wade, both in college.
